Set the table...

Hi Everyone. I hope you all has a good weekend? Today I want to share with you another project for the Cuttlebug Blogspot Design Team. They come round very quickly don't they!.
You may remember last weeks challenge was "Dinner Invitations"? Well, this weeks challenge is the next stage, "set the table". See how well thought out these challenges are by Nilda!..
So here is my project..I decided to go with a more Christmassy theme, choosing to make a centre piece and a Napkin Ring..
And here's a guide on how they were made.I started off by cutting some Black strips of Mirror cardand embossed themwith Tim Holtz Embossing Folder, "Snow Flurries".These strips were pinned to a polystyrene (Styrofoam) star shape.I then cut a template of Black Mirror card to cover the top of the star.
I then cut 5 vines in Silver Glitter card using the Spellbinders "On the Vine" die. As I needed the full length of the die I had to use my "long" Cuttlebug plates.I then pinned the vines to the star shape.I then took the Martha Stewart Vintage Doily Deep Edger punch and punched twice into some Silver Mirror card, cutting off the excess and adhering it to a Silver candlewhich was placed into the centre of the star. Now, You may remember back to Halloween when I made the Black and Silver wreath? Well, time for a bit of recycling! No excuses, but it has been a really busy week here at Pinnacles and to be honest I didn't have enough time to make more roses,so I dismantled the wreathto use the roses and placed them around the candle. The next step was to make the Napkin ring. This couldn't be simpler. I punch a strip of Black Mirror card using the Martha Stewart Linked Trim Deep Edger Punchand threaded some Black & Silver ribbon through the links. 15mm ribbon threads through this punch perfectly!I then wrapped it around a napkin, securing it with some high tac double sided tapeand then added another rose to it to keep the theme going. And there you have it, all ready for Christmas...
Don't forget to pop on over to the Cuttlebug Blogspot and see what all the other Design Team members have come up with, and why not give the challenge a go yourself and submit what you have created..
Thanks for checking us out, see you soon.
Andy.
