What to do with a freebie?!!

Hi Everyone. You know when you get a crafting magazine and it comes with a freebie, either a stamp, some ribbon, or another delectable crafting goodie!! Do you actually use it?, or does it just disappear into your crafting stash never to see the light of day? mmm ME TOO!! With the latest issue of the Do Crafts Creativity Magazine (Issue 23) your get not one, but TWO freebies!! So, I was determined to use at least one of them before they disappear into the depths of my crafting stash! The choice was to either use the free set of stamps or the free embossing folder, so I chose the embossing folder...I cut a piece of White card stock to size and embossed the image through the Cuttlebug Machine.Taking some Ink (Adirondack - Slate) I coloured the entire image.I then went over the embossed image with Diamond Stickles..You'll see that the Diamond Stickles brings out the Greens and Golds from the Slate coloured Ink, If you use it on a different colour you will get a different effect, cool eh!?I did this 3 times and then put them to one side to dry.I then prepared my sentiment using my Cricut Gypsy Machine. I took the phrase "Oh Christmas Tree" and welded the letters together in a sort of Christmas Tree shape using Plantin Schoolbook @ 1". I cut the sentiment out twice onto Gunmetal coloured Mirror Cardand layered them ontop of each other to give dimension.I then made a side stepper card (check back here for the instructions),added my now dry and cut out embossed trees, added my sentimentand viola!! Very Christmassy me thinks! Hope it gives you some inspo to put this Embossing Folder to use for those who have it..
Thanks for checking us out, see you soon.
Andy.
