Hi Everyone, can you believe we've managed to get to our 100th post! OK, not as quick as some other blogs but I do believe in quality, not quantity!!
So first things first.. as it's our 100th post it must be time for some BLOG CANDY!!It's been a while since I've given anything away as Blog Candy!, so here you guys are.. A limited Edition Cricut Cartridge, Independence Day..
Just leave a comment on any post from now until Sunday 29th August and on Monday
30th August, I will pick one person to win this great cartridge no matter where you are in the world.. So, Good Luck everyone.
Now, on with today's project. If you're not in full Christmas mode yet, why not?!! August is speeding along and the shop here at Pinnacles is packed full of great Christmas stock. So to inspire you to get going if you haven't already, why not give this little project a go.
I used a stamp from a Kanban set which has just come in to the shop.. I'm loving the images on these stamps. Nice big images which were just crying out to be coloured with Copics,Glossy Accented! is that a word? you know what I mean, covered with Glossy Accents!and then glittered with Crystal Stickles.
Whilst this was all drying I cut out a frame from the Story Book Cartridge using the Cricut Machine, it's been a while since I have used my favourite toy, and it was good to get reacquainted...The frames were cut out at 5 1/4" and layered together.I then prepared my base card which was one of those side stepper cards I am obsessed with at the moment. Check back to this later post for all the details in both CM's and Inches for those that wish to give it a go.I added some backing paper (Best Creations GP-335) which is available in the shop) to the panels which were to be seen, adding some gold border peel offs to the edges to frame the project.Mounted the now dry image onto the frame, adding some Red Gems as Berriesbefore mounting the whole thing onto the base card. Ta Da!!
Hope you like the sample and it gives you some ideas for your Christmas or indeed any other crafting. And don't forget to leave a comment to be in with a chance to win that FREE Cricut Cartridge....
Thanks for checking us out.
See you soon.
Andy.
