Today, I will mostly be playing with.... Shaving Foam me thinks!!
Have a great day. See you soon.

From Flakes to Wax....
Hi Folks... I appear to have developed a theme!!!
Last week it was all about Gilding Flakes, and this week I've moved onto Gilding Wax..
Whilst I was in town last week waiting for some new glasses, I popped into Wilkinson's to kill a bit of time!! You know they say "never go food shopping when you are hungry!?" as you'll end up buying loads of stuff that you don't really need!! Well, I want to add to that.. Don't go to Wilko's when you're looking for a bit of crafting inspo, cos you'll come out with several bags full of stuff that is just gagging to be altered!!
I picked up several of these inexpensive frames. I think this one was only £3.00!!
I gave it a whollop of Gilding Wax, I say whollop, in fact, you use very little. For this one I used Patina Blue which is from the Peacock set. But, to be honest, any individual colour of Gilding Wax would give a great effect.. Can't wait to give the Vintage Plum a go...
When playing around, I'm never quite sure in which direction I'm taking the project. So, for now, I've just added a Gilded Die Cut to the frame. When I get the right picture to go inside it then I'll swap it over for that!!
I also purchased a few White frames,
this one was coloured using the Verde Gris Wax, which is also from the Peacock set...
Finished off with some Hunkydory Die cut Decoupage and a Cheery Lynn sentiment, as again, I wasn't too sure where I was going with this!! Still, quite pleased with the initial results!! More play time looms me thinks...
Just a reminder to all those Pinnacle Crafts Club Members out there.. It's Club Members Weekend this weekend.. And as it's another Bank Holiday Weekend, it's another Pinnacles 4 day'er... The fun starts at 9am on Friday... We look forward to seeing you there.
Thanks for checking us out, see you soon.
Andy.

Anniversary in Teal...
Hi folks.. So, here we go, back on track with my "planned" post...
For this one, I have chosen a "Teal" colour theme as I had card stock, Crushed Ribbon and Gems which matched almost exactly!! The only thing that I didn't have to match this project was some Blue'ish Gilding Flakes? Do they actually make them?? I guess there must be some about, as some of the mixed pots of Gilding Flakes we have, such as "Copper Thunder", have a Blue'ish tinge to them!! Rather than pick out the Blue bits specifically, I went with the Copper Thunder as a whole! Which, I suppose gives a nice contrast in the Butterflies wings rather than it all merging into the same "Blueness"!?
Thanks for checking us out, see you soon.
Andy.

Gilding Flake Tutorial.....
Hi Folks... Not my intended post today. But I was asked to do a tutorial using Gilding Flakes with a stamped image and FlitterGlu.. So, before I forget to do it I thought I'd get it done and out of the way sooner rather than later..
So, this one is for Pat and anyone else who is interested in giving it a go...
To start off with, I have my Stamp, FlitterGlu and a piece of Cut and Dry foam to apply the Glue to the Stamp.
For me, I prefer to add a reasonable amount of Glue to the stamp. Too little Glue, and your stamp is likely to stick to your card stock. Too much Glue, and it's going to "squidge" into the image, a bit like if you over ink!
I also prefer to stamp onto either Pearlised or Glossy Card Stock as opposed to Mat Card Stock. There seems to be less resistance to the Glue with a non porous card stock and therefore less likelihood that your stamp will get stuck to it!
Whilst the Glue is still wet, add your Gilding Flakes,
Pat them down using your Burnishing Tool, knocking off the majority of the excess Flakes.
Then press a little harder with the Burnisher to knock off the remaining Flakes that have not adhered to the Glue. I've done this to the top part of the image so that you can see the difference to the bottom part as the stamped images starts to show through..
It's a great effect once you have completed it!
Now all you've got to do is think of something to do with it!!...
Hope this helps Pat?!
Thanks for checking us out, see you soon.

Guilded Clock Face...
Hi Folks... I've Been having a little play this week with Gilding Flakes as I prepare for our lessons next week using them..
I think they have huge potential and can be used in several different ways, which I will be sharing with you over the next few posts...
For this project I have used the Gilding Flakes with both Flitter Glu and Adhesive sheets to adhere them to the Clock Face and the Clock Itself, although I think I could have used another colour on the clock hands to differentiate them from the clock!!
But still, the overall look is quite effective..
A bit like Big Ben (I know, Big Ben is the Bell, not the clock!)....
Thanks for checking us out. See you soon. Andy.

Fathers Day Silhoutte.....
Hi Folks.. I hope you enjoyed your Bank Holiday Weekend? Did you manage to get any crafting done, or were you lucky enough to get out and enjoy the sunshine (if you had any of it)? It took a while for it to appear here! But when it did, it was lovely and warm!
I did manage to finish off a few projects over the weekend and also made a start of a few more... "Make cards while the sun shines" eh!!
So, here is today's project for you..
I know, it's another Fathers Day one, but it will be here before you know it and we don't want to get caught out do we? Still, it could be used for pretty much any other masculine event as well...
It would appear that I'm still in that Monochromatic zone at the moment then!
Have a great day and thanks for checking us out.
See you soon.
Andy.

Wedding Vows....
Hi Folks... Wey Hey... Another long Bank Holiday Weekend has arrived... Makes ya laugh doesn't it!! Like buses, (although I can't honestly remember the last time I actually caught a Bus!) you wait for one, and then 3 come along at once! (There’s another Bank Holiday at the end of the Month, just in case you weren't aware......)
Just having a little play with today's project.. With a family wedding coming up and several Anniversaries to prepare for in the coming few weeks I'm hoping that today's card will "tick a few boxes"...
It wasn't until someone mentioned it to me at last week’s demo that I realised how much "tone on tone" I do on my projects!! I guess it's just the way I roll! And hey, if it ain't broke.....
Don't forget it's National Scrapping Day Today and to celebrate we start our Paper Sale in Store... What's more, it continues throughout the Bank Holiday Weekend...
Whatever you're up to this weekend, make the most of it!!
Thanks for checking us out, see you soon.
Andy.
