From Our House....

Hi Blogland. Phew, boy is it raining this morning here in the South East!! I'm sitting in our workshop with 32 Velux windows and it sounds like the world is crashing down on them at the moment! I can barely hear myself think!!
Anyway, I was having a little play yesterday with some decoupage I had put together some time ago. I'm not so big on decoupage, although I like the effects. But this one was a die cut and only took about a minute to put together!! Result!
And this is what I decided to do with it... Could it be anymore christmassy??? If you fancy giving it a go, here's how it was made..
I took some background card stock and cut it to 11" in length.
Turned it over and measured in from each of the sides at 3 1/2" and scored a line from top to bottom. I also scored a line 2 1/4" up from the bottom of the card and scored across the width.Cutting out the 2 bottom Rectangles. Then cut off the wings off of the card at the 2 1/4" markto form the shape.I cut out a fence form the Heritage Cricut cartridge @ 2" in some Gun Metal Mirror card.Cutting off the tall fence post.I embossed the fence using the Wood grain Crafts Concepts Embossing Folder to give it some texture.I then bent over the tops of the fence postand applied some high tac tape to the base of the cardand adhered the fence from underneath the cardso the fence could stand up.I then popped on my decoupage to form a little winter scene. And then added my sentiment... Chritmassy or what!!
Thank goodness that it's only raining outside, if what's coming down now was snow! YIKES! It's all set to clear up soon, so a bright Autumnal day is on it's way. Whatever you are doing today, have a good one and see you soon.
Andy.

  1. Lovely...

That background card is so useful for so many things - it really sets off the decoupage beautifully.

    Another super card Andy.

  2. Yes, I like ... very much Andy ... I think the last few of my Christmas card worries have just flown out of the window! Thanks for the inspo.... again. Lovely family card. and although I'm a crafter to the chore, at this time of year we need all the help we can get to achieve a wow factor for our families, who expect so much from our cards. Thanks again Andy.
