The boy done good....

Morning all, a little bleary eyed today as stayed up to watch Andy Murray's game last night.. Why oh why do all our sports men and women do that to us... We give them our support and they look like they are ganna loose, then a flash of brilliance and our faith is restored only to almost have it taken away again... However is was a stunning game and either man who won was a deserved winner. I'm just glad it was Murray.. Next!!!

Today I'm going to share a technique which has proved oh so popular in our lessons this year, the fact that we have had to do it again and again is testament to it's popularity.. It's fun and easy and the results are simply amazing

Shaving Foam, that's right Shaving Foam. Now you probably won't find it in any craft store but Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury's own brand stuff is ideal and costs pennies...

Simply spray some foam onto a large piece of waste cardboard, and add droplets of a dye based or alcohol based ink into it. I used Pergamano and Ranger Alcohol Inks, but any re inker is ideal but it must be dye based or alcohol based...
Then mix the ink into the shaving foam as much or as little as you wish. Then place some glossy card stock onto the foam and ink and leave for a few seconds. Take the card stock off and dab off the excess shaving foam and voila you have a completely individual background for your cards or scrapbook pages or infact any other crafting project..

Hope you like the samples...

Gone missing...

Hey everyone,
Woke up this morning to... FOG!!! Am I mad but do you usually get fog in June??? Well I suppose yesterday was extremely humid and the fact our part of the world didn't get a chance to cool down over night may have had something to do with it!!! Well Mr Sun is out now and burnt all that fog away so hopefully another glorious day to be had...

I thought I would share one of my creations with you.. Now you should feel privileged, not because I'm boasting about my work but because I think no one else will ever see it again unless I recreate it.. the reason.. It's Gone Missing!!!
Recently we have had the privilege of having some of our work published in Creative Card Making Magazine.. I never knew how hard it was to get into print, but there are truly some fantastically talented card makers and scrapbookers out there. So I feel honored to be in print not just once but twice (Issue 2 & 4).. However the card submitted has failed to arrive back to us, good job I took a piccie before sending it... The magazine are looking into it, but I don't hold out much hope... So I hope you enjoy the card and maybe it will give you a little inspo...
The card is made on the Cricut using 50 States for the Birds, Homes Accents for the word and the bird house was from "Stretch Your Imagination", which I think is a great phrase to think about when using your Cricut.

Art Deco

Art Deco seems all the rage at the moment. Go into any Clinton's and you are greeted by the most wonderful selection of Art Deco cards and images... Although Kanban produce some beautiful Art Deco toppers and cards they are just that.. Toppers.. I wanted to make something from scratch. Some of our Cricut owners asked if ProvoCraft were producing an Art Deco cartridge, now as much as I would love to have a direct line to the Head Honcho at PC and let him know exactly what I am my customers would like I'm afraid I don't.. (Although you can leave comments on Cricut.com.) So I trawled through all my cartridges and came up with these little beauties... To say I am proud of them is an understatement!!! Once they have served their purpose in the shop they are coming home with me to be framed and mounted on the wall.
I used My World Cartridge for the Car and 50 States for the Fan shape, it's actually part of the State flag of Arizona don't you know... yeah me either, but i assure you it is.. 50 States is not available in the UK at the moment purely because the distributors don't believe it is applicable to the UK market, but there are some fantastic Birds and Flowers on this cartridge as well as many other images and is a much underrated cartridge.

Hope you like the cards & thanks for checking us out.

The start of something new....

Well here go's. Today is the start of a new venture for us at Pinnacles, our very first blog... Well I say first it's actually our 3rd, but after mistakenly deleting one and converting the second into a format I couldn't work with I am now happy with what we have here. Hope you like it too and will check back to see our latest creations..
We aim to update you regularly with all the goings on in Pinnacles, some of our samples that somehow we just don't have the room to show in the shop and all of our latest goodies...

Thanks for checking us out..
