Leaves galore!!

Isn't galore a strange word, galore say it out load, what does it mean? Lots of! And today's project has lots and lots of leaves.. 80 to be precise.
Hi Blogland, you just never know when something is going to prove so popular! Just sitting in the shop at my new work area playing about with my Martha's, punches that is! and suddenly you're surrounded by inquisitive on lookers and a spur of the moment demo ensues..Here's the card I was making and a step by step.I punched a whole lot of leaves from some White Glitter Card using the Martha Stewart Branch Punch (M230367).Using the same Glitter Card I cut a Circle frame from the Plantin Schoolbook Cartridge using my Cricut, this was done at 5 1/4" using the Roly Poly function to achieve the cut out in the centre. For those with a Cricut Machine you could use the Centre Point function on any Cartridge which has a Circle to achieve a thicker or thinner circle frame, for those without a Cricut then any shape cutting system such as XCut will give you a similar effect.I used Pinflair Silicone Glue to attach my leaves. Firstly applying a decent amount of the glueand then adding the leaves, then more leaves, until I had gone all the way around the circle.I then went around with a second layer of leaves to give the wreath a fuller effect.Adding some gems to centre of each group of leaves.Whilst this was drying I prepared my base card. An 8"x8" White card with a matt of Silver Mirror Card, Yes that's me waving at you...Then a matt of Snow effect backing paper.I added Pinflair Glue to the back of the Circleto give the wreath some depth when it was added to the base card.I stamped my sentimentAnd applied an Image I had stamped, Coloured and glazed previously.
I think this is a great way to use this leaf punch, so much so I made a few more...
One in Champagne Gold
Adding an image cut from the Christmas/Noel Cricut Cartridge.
Chocolate BrownBlueBurgundy/RedGreen
And more Green

Not sure what I'm going to do with them yet, but they might give you some ideas. I have also done one in a Copper/Orange which would be great for Halloween or Thanksgiving, I'll pop it on here nearer the time..
Thanks for checking us out, and don't forget to leave a comment to be in with a chance to win the Independence Day Cricut cart...
See you soon.

You've captured my heart

Hi Blogland. A bit corny I know, but for all you romantics out there, this ones for you... With Valentines Day fast approaching I wanted to share with you a project I made the other day..February is the Month of love, so using the craft tool I LOVE the most, my Cricut! this is what I came up with...I cut out 4 bird cage images @ 8" from the Serenade Cricut cartridge.
My initial intention was to just cut out one and use it on a card as a one dimensional object. But when I cut the first image out,the waste which was cut to form the bars of the cage gave me the idea to use them as corners to link more imagesto form a complete 3D cage.I then cut out my Silhouette image from Love Struck. This is one of the limited edition cartridges and has many great images for not only Valentines, but weddings, engagements etc, etc. This image was cut at 3 3/4" onto Black Mirror card. I then cut the Blackout image onto Pink Mirror cardand stuck to two together using Pinflair glue. I did this twice so that I had an image for the front and one for the back so that when it spins round you get to see both sides. Before I stuck the two sets of images together I applied some clear thread to the back of one imageso that I could hang it inside the cage. The cage looked ok'ish, but needed something else, so I cut some branches from the Mothers Day cartridge, another of the new Limited Edition cartridges and applied them to the outside of the Bird cage.I then cut out a few Butterflies using my Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch in the same Pink Mirror card used for the silhouette background and randomly added them to the outside of the cage. I also printed a sentiment from my PC and matted and layered it to co ordinate with the project. The last thing I added were some clear beads for the top of the cage. I glued them together with Pinflair glue and allowed them to dry before adding them all to the top of the cage.
I hope you like this creation.. Now who do I give it to?? Decisions, decisions...
Have a great day.
See you soon...

Going back to our roots!

Hi Everyone. It seems only yesterday when Pinnacle Crafts opened it's doors to the public, in fact it was over 6 years ago that Joanne & Pauline first set up our (then) little shop at Barleylands (boy, haven't we grown!).. And this week we have been revisiting the product that got the ball rolling and has made Pinnacle Crafts what it is today!! Pinflair...Back in 2003 Joanne took redundancy from her career with a German Bank in London.. With a little time on her hands she took herself off to one of the big craft shows here in the UK and came across a stand selling Pinflair. She got chatting with the owner Christine and the rest as they say is history!! She purchased a few kits and loved making the products. I, at the time was working for John Lewis Department Stores and said that the Buyers would lap these products up.. which they would have! However, we would never be able to make the products up in the quantity required! So, we decided to set up our own shop and now Pinnacle Crafts is one of the largest stockists of Pinflair products in the UK and the products have a firm fixture within our store.
The Pinflair items are simply, Polystyrene shapes with Sequins, Beads & Ribbon attached to them. Once the shape is completed you would never guess that underneath all the intricate work there is a simple polystyrene shape holding the whole thing together!
We make many gifts for customers who want something special for a Wedding, Anniversary or just a keep sake and just love the oooohs & ahhhhhs when they see the gift made up for them..These Bells are my favourite. OK, they are not quick to make but boy are they effective.. We use them to decorate the Christmas Tree and can also be used for Wedding Bells as we can make them in any colour combination we wish.. And one of the best things about them is that they do not break and can be handed down from generation to generation..Or how about something a bit more contemporary for your Tree this year..
I really think the best thing about these Bells is the one thing you rarely see, the base. So much work!!
Obviously our lessons are not long enough for our customers to complete the Bells in time. So, ever resourceful we came up with our own design for our customers to complete..A great Bauble card.. Simple, but oh so effective...!

So why not give it a go..
Thanks for checking us out.
